Report Packages – Streamline Your Monthly Reporting

<span id="hs_cos_wrapper_name" class="hs_cos_wrapper hs_cos_wrapper_meta_field hs_cos_wrapper_type_text" style="" data-hs-cos-general-type="meta_field" data-hs-cos-type="text" >Report Packages – Streamline Your Monthly Reporting</span>

We are pleased to introduce Report Packages, a new feature designed to simplify and streamline your work with monthly reports. Instead of manually exporting one report at a time, you can now gather all your most important reports in a single package that can be exported with one click.

How the Feature Works

Report Packages was created to save time and reduce the risk of errors. You create a package, give it a name, and add the reports you need. This is especially useful for payroll service bureaus that have a significant need to export multiple reports each month, such as payroll lists, vacation liability reports, and bank lists. Once the package is created, you can export all reports at once with a single click.

Here’s how to create a Report Package:

  • In your Report Packages view, click the New icon in the toolbar.

  • Give your package a name.

  • Use the add/remove list to search for and add reports to your package. You can add multiple rows of the same report. For a report created in the Report Generator to be added to a report package, the Use in report packages checkbox must be selected under the sharing settings.

  • For each report you add, you can make specific selections. These selections are saved for that particular report within the package.

  • When you're finished, click the Save icon in the toolbar to save the entire package.

Export Your Reports with Custom Settings

When you want to export the reports, click the Download button in the toolbar. Here you can choose to download the reports in different file formats, such as PDF or Excel. For each individual report in your package, you can also customize the settings:

  • File name: You can specify a unique file name for each report. If you don't provide a name, the report's default name will be used.

  • Add company number: A checkbox that automatically adds the company number before the file name.

  • Add print date: A checkbox that adds the print date to the end of the file name.

The file name is previewed so you can see what it will look like, for example: 123 Report Name 20250826.pdf.
