We have listened to your feedback and made a thorough update to make the "Preferential right list" more inclusive and flexible. The new logic shifts focus from looking only at the most recent employment period to considering the entire employment history. This solves the problem where, for example, actively employed temporary staff could previously be excluded. The result is a more accurate overview that reduces manual work and simplifies your planning.

A more accurate and complete list

One change is that an employee is now included in the list if they have at least one qualifying period in their employment history. Previously, an employee could be completely dropped from the list if the most recent period was not relevant. Now, employees can also have an ongoing short-term employment and still be included, which provides a more complete picture of who has the right of priority.

Improved calculation of the order of priority in the list

We have refined the logic for how the order of priority (the "No." column) is calculated. Previously, the list showed who had the right of priority, but the ranking was based on priority days, which did not necessarily reflect the correct order for re-employment.

To ensure a more precise and fair ranking, the order is now primarily based on the total employment time (Employment Days). This means that the person with the longest total employment time gets a higher position on the list. In the case of equal employment time, the older person has priority, just as before.

New and moved columns for increased clarity

To make the list even easier to work with, we have made two adjustments:

  • New column: End of employment cause
We have added the column "End of employment cause" directly after "Departure Date". This helps you quickly understand why a person is on the list. For example, you can more easily see if a person with a relevant history has ended their most recent employment at their own request and thus does not have the right of priority, making the list easier to interpret.

  • Moved column: Employment Days
The "Employment Days" column has been moved to appear directly after "National ID Number". The reason is that employment days are now the primary factor determining the order in which employees appear on the list.

What do you need to do?

For new lists, you don't need to do anything. However, to update your existing lists with the new calculation logic, please use the "Recalculate" button.
