Automatic handling when removing Visma Connect connection

<span id="hs_cos_wrapper_name" class="hs_cos_wrapper hs_cos_wrapper_meta_field hs_cos_wrapper_type_text" style="" data-hs-cos-general-type="meta_field" data-hs-cos-type="text" >Automatic handling when removing Visma Connect connection</span>

We are now introducing an improvement that automatically removes a user's connection to Visma Connect when their employment is terminated. The purpose is to save time and reduce manual work, while ensuring that access to the system is always correct for your employees.

How the automatic removal works

The new function is linked to the existing security setting "Deactivate account x days after end of employment". When an employee's end date has passed and the number of days for deactivation has been reached, the system will automatically remove the connection to Visma Connect.

The process is handled by a background job, which means that the removal is not immediate but occurs the next time the background job runs.

What do you need to do?

To help you take advantage of this automation as smoothly as possible, we have made it simple for you.

  • If you already use automatic deactivation:
You don't need to do anything. The process is handled completely automatically. The system's default setting is that an account is deactivated five days after the end of employment. If you have specified a different number of days, in the security settings or in user templates, those settings will apply.

  • For already deactivated users:
Users whose accounts are already deactivated when the feature is launched will not be affected automatically. For these, you need to remove the connection manually in the user registry.

  • For manual deactivation:
If you manually deactivate a user directly in the user registry, the connection to Visma Connect will not be removed automatically. In these cases, you need to use the "Remove connection" button to terminate access manually.

A tip for recurring employments

Do you have employees who return at regular intervals? In that case, it may be practical to create a separate user template for these users. In the template, you can specify a higher number of days for deactivation, so that the user retains their Visma Connect connection for a longer period between employments, saving you from having to reactivate it manually.

Manual deactivation in the user registry

Note that if you manually deactivate a user directly in the user registry, the connection to Visma Connect will not be removed automatically. In these cases, you must use the "Remove connection" button to remove access manually.
