We are continuing to develop the Absence data source in the Report Generator to enable you to analyze, follow up on, and gain control over your organization's absence statistics. We are pleased to now present a range of new fields that will take your absence follow-up to the next level. These updates are planned to give you the specific data you need for both rehabilitation work and detailed cost tracking.

More Efficient Rehabilitation Work

To facilitate important rehabilitation efforts, we are adding the new field Number of absence periods. With this field, you can easily generate reports that quickly identify employees with multiple short-term sick leave instances. This is crucial information for prioritizing and initiating early interventions and rehabilitation investigations in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's guidelines (Arbetsmiljöverket).

Detailed Follow-up on Sick Leave and Costs

We will supplement the data source with fields that give you full insight into how sick leave is managed and how costs are allocated. The information in these fields is retrieved directly from the absence registered or applied for by the employee.

  • Number of hours qualifying deduction and Number of hours not qualifying deduction: By separating the hours subject to the qualifying deduction (karens) from the hours that fall under the employer's sick pay liability, you gain a comprehensive overview of the actual costs of sick leave. This enables precise financial follow-up.

  • Part-time absence and Part-time absence percentage: These fields allow you to follow up on part-time sick leave with high precision, which is important for monitoring the extent of employees' return to work.

  • Absence type: This field enables the extraction of reports at a group level, as the absence reason is company-specific.

Extended Data Fields for HR Reporting

In addition to the analysis-focused fields, the following data fields are also being added, further enriching your reports:

  • Accounting entries: This field makes it possible to group and filter your absence reports by, for example, different departments.

  • Message: Allows you to include messages related to the absence in the report.

  • Children: This field makes it possible to include information about which children are linked to the absence, for example, during parental leave.

Summary and Next Steps

The new fields in the Absence data source provide you with a powerful tool to extract exactly the data you need to drive effective rehabilitation work and accurate cost tracking. Keep an eye out for information on when these fields will become available in your Flex HRM environment.
